What research have you been up to recently?

Covergent species with a toedscool and tentacool, terastalizing, and then these interesting Paradox Pokemon. Course there's the old research topics, but since I can't study Mega Evolutions or Z-Moves or Gigantamax in Paldea, those have all been put on hold, as well as any Pokemon that I can't bring into the region with me. But new research is always helpful to have.

Gigantamax Meowgue! (G-max meowth/tyrogue) I love how my phone's predictive text wanted me to write Tyrone so bad.

It's a fighting/normal type and it's abilities could include technician, guts, and unnerve.

I also may have had a similar incident to the last fusion occur wherein I may or may not have lost the shiny with a background on the original canvas, but thankfully, I already had it saved as a png this time.

#823 - Corviknight

Despite the warnings of several locals to not go looking for the source of the disappearances, the group of trainers travel into the woods at night towards a mysterious sparkle. They find a perfectly circular smooth small lake lit up by moonlight. Darryl and his Pokémon dive in and find strange smooth domes on the lakebed, and upon trying to escavate it, causes something massive to rise up out of the water.

A wild Gmax Orbeetle looms over the party, threatening to absorb them with its psychic beam. The party coordinate an onslaught of attacks, causing three Flinches and Paralysis to stun the creature, and then cause it faint. It reverts to a regular Orbeetle, and 10 people materialised out of the air. It seems this UFO bug was the cause of the disappearances, but how does a wild Gigantimax happen? The trainers and the kidnappees return to Riverwarra, and they ask the Professor to look for answers.

After an easy morning, the Professor tells the trainers the Orbeetle itself is normal, but advises they visit a friend in Woodrine City (capital of Oster) for more anwers.

One roadtrip montage later, and a few new Pokemon caught, the party arrive in Woodrine to talk with Cynthia, a Pokemon Champion and Archaeologist. She tells us that a powerful entity has awoken and started causing surges of mysterious powers around Oster.

The ruins under Woodrine seems to have some clues, and it seems five other powerful Pokemon around the country will need to be tamed in order for the trainers to have a good shot at beating this mysterious force. Thus, the party have the next steps of their quest.
